XLC 380/480 PN 16/25

The CSA Model XLC 380/480 is a globe pattern hydraulically operated automatic control valve that senses the increase in flow above a pre-set and adjustable value of a high sensitivity pilot, diverting the upstream pressure to the main control chamber and causing a complete closure, to be manually reset after that. As long as the flow rate remains below the set point, the valve will remain fully open minimizing head loss.

• Circuitry in stainless steel.
• Unit flow regulator device, needle valves and flow stabilizers in stainless steel.
• Seat in stainless steel.
• Painting with fluidized bed technology RAL 5005.

Applications
• Installed at the reservoir outlet to interrupt the water supply in case of sudden and excessive increase of flow caused by pipe break, unwanted and unexpected emergencies whose demand would depressurize the system.
• To protect a gravity line or main transmission pipe, in absence of SCADA and flow measurements, from possible negative pressure conditions coming from pipe burst and unauthorized water consumption.

Standard and connections
• Design and testing according to EN 1074.
• Flanges size from DN 50 to DN 400 mm, higher on request.
• Flanges standard EN 1092/2, different on request.

Working conditions
• Pressure range: 10-16-25 bar.
• Minimum working pressure: 1.5 bar acting on the pilot.
• Treated water maximum 70°C, higher temperature on request.
